As a pioneer who has ventured into uncharted waters
and paved the way for others, Ivenue Love-Stanley
is an inspiration. In 1977 she became the first
African-American woman to graduate from the Georgia
Institute of Technology’s College of Architecture.
She was also the first African-American woman
be registered as a licensed architect in the south.
Together with her husband, Ms. Love-Stanley has
built Stanley, Love-Stanley into a large, integrated
practice, known for its excellent planning and design.
Ms. Love-Stanley’s contributions stretch well
beyond architectural design, as she is greatly involved
in community service work, inspiring others to follow
in her professional and personal footsteps.
